The Robert Schuman Art Prize, named after the "Father of Europe", has been providing an international showcase for contemporary creations from the QuattroPole region since 1991. In 2019, the Robert Schuman Art Prize will be awarded and hosted by Luxembourg City, which has delegated the organisation of the prize and the group show to Villa Vauban – Musée d'Art de la Ville and to Cercle Cité.

wird die Klub Irrko Space Night mit Judith Leinen zur Raumnacht: Wir schauen auf Raumentstehungsprozesse und einen langen Besuch in der Backstube einer NewYork-Italienischen Patisserie. Dieser liefert alle Hinweise, die man braucht um eine Skulptur zu bauen.
Neue Räume werden durch ihre Aussenbegrenzungen
klar definiert und erst durch diese Unterbrechungen
sichtbar. Hier entstehen sie während Prozessen,
die eine komplizierte Materialüberlistung
voraussetzen und kaum kontrollierbar sind.
Sie können aber gelingen mit Gefühl, Wissen
und dem Respekt vor einer materialinternen
Autonomie. Ich verfolge die Konzepte von
Croissant und Sfogliatelle, in deren Volumen - ganz
im Gegensatz zum Strudel - die Materialien
den größtmöglichen Abstand voneinander einnehmen.

A croissant in its sculptural appearance is barely understandable. The balance of stabilizing Material and expanding Volume is extraordinary. The almost vanishing membranes build walls to giant air- spaces while expansive areas can compress into the tiniest room. Thanks to its inherent material properties it comes with the ability of spatial expansion. That´s also why it cannot be simply build form bottom to top- its evolvement depends on processes, triggers, aggregate-states or attracting and repulsive forces. The notions of these complex intertwined and only partially predictable and impressionable factors become the strategy of Judith Leinen. She builds a temporal installation and questions not only the site but also its users. The installed pieces are connecters between human and environment. They are fragile, intangible and supposed to snap in with an accurate fit.
Ein Croissant als skulpturale Erscheinung ist kaum zu verstehen. In einem bemerkenswerten Verhältnis von Stabilität lieferndem Material und Volumen halten verschwindend dünne Membrane riesige Lufträume und große Flächen werden auf kleinstem Raum komprimiert. Es expandiert in den Raum dank seinem Material innewohnenden Eigenschaften. Darum kann es auch nicht einfach konstruktiv von unten nach oben gebaut werden- es ist auf Prozesse, Auslöser, Aggregatzustände, anziehend und abstoßend wirkende Kräfte angewiesen. Die Vorstellung dieser komplex ineinandergreifenden, nur zum Teil vorherzusehenden und beeinflussbaren Faktoren macht Judith Leinen zu ihrer Strategie. Sie baut eine temporäre Installation und stellt Fragen an den Raum und seine Nutzer.

The project space is a changing exhibition in a small appartment. Hyper-hyperbolic spring time, life cycles and ressurection of things will be some upcoming themes of the new collection shown in the space. A question which came up after SET 7, showing a lot of works dealing with volatileness and transcience is now: How to live on in an environment after vanitas?

Alle drei Jahre schreibt der Kunstverein Ludwigshafen in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Weiterbildung und Kultur in Mainz den Wettbewerb für junge Rheinland-Pfälzer Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus. Der Emy-Roeder-Preis sowie der Förderpreis sind renommierte Auszeichnungen für den künstlerischen Nachwuchs in Rheinland-Pfalz. Die Ausstellung umfasst Malerei, Skulptur, Installation, Fotografie, Grafik und Video und gibt einen interessanten Einblick in die junge Rheinland-Pfälzische Kunstszene. Es erscheint ein Katalog.

Le site du laminoir (autour de l’ancien Atelier des locomotives) se transforme pendant un mois en une agora, où artistes, historiens, architectes et membres du public se réunissent pour créer un lieu propice à l’aventure et l’exploration de nouvelles idées.
Le projet a lieu dans le cadre du Festival de la Culture Industrielle et de l'Innovation 2016.

Freistil ist ein interdisziplinäres Ausstellungsprojekt bei dem 11 Künstler aus den USA und Deutschland aufeinander treffen.
Thematisch setzt es sich mit Ringen in all seinen Facetten auseinander. Es wird mehrere Ausstellungsorte geben. Fest stehen der Kunstverein Speyer (10. Mai -7. Juni 2015) und die Landesbausparkasse Mainz(23. Juni- September 2015). 2016 wird die Ausstellung nach Berlin in die Landesvertretung des Landes Rheinland-Pfalz wandern. Nach einer erfolgreichen Saison in Deutschland ist eine Revanche/Rückspiel auf amerikanischem Boden angedacht. Alle Disziplinen treffen aufeinander, denn es geht um maximalen Austausch.
